Nobody Does It Better?
Press play
Nothing is more polarising than a cover track. To some, it’s tantamount to heresy. To others it’s a way of reinventing or reinterpreting the original artist’s vision. Can a cover be better than an original? Better not to answer that question out loud.

01Weezer"My Name Is Jonas"3:23
My Name is Jonas is a riot of a song with the unforgettable “The workers are going home” line.
-
02Taylor Swift"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Taylor's Version)"3:13
We've said how much we love this song, it's one of Taylor's best.
-
03Bring Me The Horizon"Doomed"4:34
Doomed bristles with nervous energy, it's calm until very suddenly it's not.
-
04Cypress Hill"How I Could Just Kill a Man"4:12
This song is pure 90s hip-hop perfection. Funky and fresh.
-
05Billie Eilish"ocean eyes"3:20
Haunting and beautiful, this is one of our favourite songs by Billie Eilish.
-
06David Bowie"Heroes"6:11
Often covered, often misunderstood. Bowie's tragic tale of two lovers kissing by the Berlin Wall should be handled very carefully.

07Taking Back Sunday"My Name Is Jonas"3:16
And then Taking Back Sunday put their own glorious spin on it. We would (and have) put this in Taking Back Sunday's top ten songs, it's that good.
-
08Jimmy Eat World"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (iTunes Session)"4:23
Jimmy Eat World put their own spin on the song, slowing it down and ramping up the feels. This is why we love them.
-
09MAPHRA"Doomed"4:35
The vocals on this version are insanely good. Be ready to be blown out of the water when you hear this. One of our songs of 2026.
-
10Rage Against the Machine"How I Could Just Kill a Man"4:04
Rage and Cypress Hill came up together, toured together and some of them formed a super-group together. They even played this together at one of Rage's last live shows.
-
11The Gaslight Anthem"Ocean Eyes"3:03
The Gaslight Anthem are one of the few bands with the chops to pull this off and they more than pull it off.
-
12Motörhead"Heroes"4:37
And we'd have never thought it would be Lemmy and Motörhead that pulled it off. This song is a fitting tribute to the legend that is Lemmy and it's tinged with sadness given it was recorded not long before the great man left us for the mosh pit in the sky.
We are pro-cover at Rabbit Høle. Hearing a band take and reshape a song, putting their own stamp on it is a simple pleasure and one that we encourage. So we are happy to celebrate originals and covers here.
